We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our expanding Salesforce Practice. Please note, this is a full-time position requiring US Shift availability; it is not open to contractors or C2C arrangements.
In the role of Salesforce Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with lead generation and securing consulting engagements for Perigeon’s Salesforce division. Your responsibilities will include conducting outreach, partnering with the marketing team, securing consulting projects, and navigating Perigeon’s sales framework to meet established sales targets within a specified period.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Develop a robust client portfolio through self-driven lead generation for the Salesforce practice:
- Actively discover and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Source leads through multiple avenues, including networking, industry events, and cold outreach.
- Maintain timely and professional follow-up with potential clients.
- Assess lead potential and guide them through the sales process.
- Secure significant deals and contribute to the firm’s revenue growth.
- Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with Salesforce stakeholders:
- Identify and engage key decision-makers and influencers within Salesforce.
- Craft and implement customized outreach plans.
- Foster trust and rapport by delivering valuable insights and information about our services.
- Regularly update Salesforce contacts on our firm’s capabilities and offerings.
- Maintain and grow relationships with Salesforce stakeholders over time.
- Follow the Perigeon sales process:
- Employ a consultative sales approach from the initial meeting, prioritizing understanding the customer’s objectives.
- Utilize technical problem-solving skills to develop and refine unique value propositions for each prospect and opportunity.
- Educate prospects and new clients about our software development process and the value we deliver, supporting the broader Perigeon team.
- Collaborate with our technical teams to convey the complex and technical aspects of our projects to prospects in an accessible manner.
- Achieve the following standard sales expectations at Perigeon:
- Manage a pipeline of inbound leads generated through traditional marketing channels.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans.
- Oversee the complete sales process from initial lead response, opportunity qualification, project scoping, solution estimation, proposal writing, and contract negotiation to handoff to the development team upon closing.
- Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations for partners and prospects.
- Prepare proposals with the assistance of sales liaisons and the larger Salesforce practice.
- Follow up with prospects to negotiate and finalize profitable deals for the practice.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, which may involve duplicate entries from Salesforce data.
- Build trust during the sales phase to lay the groundwork for our Trusted Advisor approach to long-term client relationships.
- Skill Expectations:
- Over 4 years of experience in selling professional services for CRM cloud applications.
- Practical, hands-on experience and proficiency with Salesforce.
- Established relationships within the Salesforce community and Salesforce.com, possessing a well-developed and verifiable network of contacts at Salesforce.com and potential client companies.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals while being a team player, ensuring the right expectations are set for the consulting team that follows.
- Dedication to continuous professional development, both in the sales of professional services and within the Salesforce domain.
