Business Analyst – E-Commerce & Order Management Systems (OMS)

Role Overview

    We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong experience in E-commerce platforms and Order Management Systems (OMS). The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless solution delivery.
     
    Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Gathering
    • Interact with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, and system requirements.
    • Conduct detailed requirement-gathering sessions, process mapping, gap analysis, and feasibility studies.
    • Define functional and non-functional requirements, user journeys, and technical specifications.

     

    E-Commerce & OMS Expertise
    • Work closely on e-commerce workflows such as catalog management, checkout, payments, promotions, cart rules, and integrations.
    • Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), including order lifecycle, inventory visibility, fulfillment flows, returns, and cancellations.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize checkout flows, order processing, and customer experience.

     

    Documentation & Project Delivery
    • Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and SOPs.
    • Collaborate with developers, QA, and solution architects to ensure requirements are accurately implemented.
    • Support UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution.

     

    Stakeholder Communication
    • Act as the primary liaison between business teams, technical teams, and clients.
    • Ensure transparency on project status, risks, and dependencies.
    • Conduct client demos, training, and product walkthroughs.

     

    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • 4–6 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst in E-commerce and OMS projects.
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Commercetools, etc. — customize based on need).
    • Experience working with OMS platforms (Fluent Commerce, Manhattan, HighJump, custom OMS, etc.).
    • Proficiency in writing user stories, process flows, wireframes, and detailed documentation.
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
    • Experience in API/integration understanding, middleware concepts, and system dependencies.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work in an agile environment.
