Platform Overview

What Is Conga CLM, and Why Do Enterprises Need It?

Conga CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) is an enterprise platform that automates every stage of the contract process — from initial request and authoring, through negotiation, approval, and e-signature, to storage, obligation tracking, and renewal — all within your Salesforce environment.
Without a dedicated CLM solution, contracting typically sprawls across emails, shared drives, and disconnected tools. Approval chains stall. Deadlines get missed. Legal teams spend hours on admin instead of high-value review. Compliance exposure compounds silently.
Conga CLM replaces that chaos with a structured, intelligent workflow. Every contract — customer agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements — moves through a defined lifecycle, tracked in real time, with every change logged and every approval recorded. For organizations managing 50 or more contracts per month, the operational and financial impact is significant.

Our Delivery Methodology

How We Implement Conga CLM

A structured methodology refined across 150+ Salesforce projects. Every engagement follows this delivery framework so your team always knows the current milestone, what comes next, and when to expect go-live.

Step 1

Discovery & Requirements Mapping
We begin with a deep-dive into your current contracting process — who owns what stage, where bottlenecks occur, what compliance obligations apply, and which legacy systems need to stay in the loop. This phase produces a detailed CLM blueprint that drives every configuration decision that follows.

Step 2

Configuration & Build
Our certified Conga consultants configure the CLM platform within your Salesforce org — building approval workflows, clause libraries, contract templates, and permission sets that reflect your exact business logic. We apply industry-specific template rationalization techniques for regulated sectors.

Step 3

Integration & Data Migration
We connect Conga CLM with your CRM, ERP, and third-party platforms. Historical contracts are migrated into the CLM repository using our AI-accelerated bulk onboarding process — classifying legacy documents, extracting key data elements, and loading them into the structured contract record format.

Step 4

Testing & User Acceptance
Structured UAT sessions with your legal, sales, and procurement stakeholders validate that every workflow, approval route, and contract type behaves exactly as specified. We run edge-case scenarios to catch issues before production — not after.

Frequently asked questions

What is Conga CLM and how does it integrate with Salesforce?
Conga CLM is an enterprise contract lifecycle management platform that automates every stage of the contracting process — from authoring and negotiation through approval, e-signature, storage, and renewal — natively within Salesforce. Because it runs inside your existing Salesforce org, it pulls live data from opportunities, accounts, and contacts, eliminating duplicate entry. Legal, sales, and procurement teams work from a single, shared workspace without switching systems.
A standard end-to-end Conga CLM implementation takes 8–12 weeks depending on your contract volume, workflow complexity, number of integrations, and team availability for UAT sessions. For organizations with simpler processes or a single contract type, our Quickstart CLM package can have you live in 3–4 weeks. Every engagement starts with a scoped project plan so you know the timeline before work begins.
Salesforce’s native contract object provides basic contract storage and status tracking — it’s adequate for simple record-keeping. Conga CLM is a purpose-built enterprise platform layered on Salesforce, adding capabilities that the native object simply doesn’t have: dynamic clause libraries with pre-approved fallback language, AI-powered contract risk scoring, complex multi-party approval workflows, full redline version history, document generation via Conga Composer, and advanced obligation tracking. For any organization with meaningful contract volume or compliance requirements, the difference in capability is substantial.
Yes. Conga CLM integrates with ERP platforms including SAP and Oracle, as well as SharePoint, procure-to-pay systems, and other business tools via Salesforce APIs and custom connectors. Perigeon’s integration practice maps your existing systems during the discovery phase and designs clean connection points that keep contract data synchronized across your full tech stack — no manual reconciliation required.
Conga CLM delivers strong ROI in healthcare and life sciences (HIPAA compliance, BAA management), financial services (regulatory contracts, audit trails), manufacturing (supplier and vendor agreements), hi-tech and SaaS (subscription and renewal management), logistics (carrier agreements), and software and business services. In practice, any organization managing 50 or more contracts per month will see meaningful improvements in speed, accuracy, and compliance visibility.
Every Conga CLM implementation includes 30 days of dedicated post-launch hypercare support. Beyond that, Perigeon offers ongoing managed services covering configuration updates, new user training, quarterly system health reviews, Conga suite version upgrades, and priority support SLAs. Many of our clients partner with us on a retained basis as their CLM needs grow — adding new contract types, regions, or integrations over time.
Yes, and this is one of the areas where Perigeon’s approach stands out. We use AI-enabled accelerators to classify legacy contracts, extract key data elements such as parties, dates, and obligations, and load them into structured Conga CLM contract records. This dramatically reduces the time and effort required to migrate historical agreements — a process that can otherwise take months when done manually.
